The VBT system measures vibration-damping properties of elastic or viscoelastic materials. It is based on a free vibrating beam theory. This method can be used to measure properties of materials used for structural vibration damping and noise control. It is valid for a frequency range of 10 to 5000 Hz. All Mecanum VBT system are delivered with a verification steel beam as well a beam starter kit that includes glue, steel uniform beams, aluminum uniform beams and mounting screw. ​
