Mecanum obtains a grant of $481,823 for the development of a new technology

Mecanum Inc. is proud to announce that the Ministry of Economy, Science and Innovation (MESI) has awarded a research grant of $481,823 under the Support Program research, section: Support for international research and innovation initiatives (PSR-SIIRI).

This project aims to develop and validate a new acoustic insulation technology for aerospace applications based on the concept of Acoustic Insulation MetaMaterial (AIMM). This technology will be integrated into the design of current thermal-acoustic insulation and will be adjustable with respect to the tonal and broadband noise to be attenuated.

This grant supports our collaborative initiative with other Canadian and German partners. In particular, it will fund internal and external research at our Canadian university partners (University of Sherbrooke and École de technologie supérieure).
