TOR - Tortuosity Meter


The ultrasonic tortuometer (or ultrasonic refractometer) is designed to obtain measurements of the tortuosity and characteristic parameter of a wide range of porous materials commonly used in noise monitoring. The system uses the 1-gas transmission and reflection methods. The transmission method is suitable for materials with low resistivity, while the reflection method is more suitable for more resistive materials. The reflection method requires porosity as an input parameter.
